It is interesting that in the Family Courts statistics for the five year period 2011 – 2015 incl.. the Family Courts granted Residence Orders in respect of 223,852 children and Contact Orders in respect to 501,935 children.
Such statistics do not therefore support assertions that Family Courts are denying parents contact with their children after parental separations. In fact it suggests that Family Courts are being very generous in making Child Contact Orders considering that approximately 80 per cent of cases in the Family Courts involve allegations of domestic violence and child abuse which are grounds for refusal of such Orders.
Bureaucratic interference is still getting in the way of justice for so many children. I’d like to think that this is the result of well-intentioned people, but I fear it is the result of self-seeking individuals with inflated ideas of self-importance.
Family Courts generous about contact?? Well they blackmail hapless parents into signing revolting “agreements ” ! After children arrive in care their mobile phones and laptops are confiscated to isolate them from family and friends;no crying or undue emotion allowed during contact,no recordings to be made no photos to be taken,no abuse suffered in fostercare to be reported, ,,foreign children are only allowed to speak English with their parents even if they only know a few words,no talk of coming home allowed and no mention of court proceedings or the possibility of coming home……. Free speech for kids flies out of the window .Murderers and rapists in prison are better treated than these children prisoners can can phone out and discuss anything they like with visitors .
All this in the “interests of the children who suffer devastating emotional harm and often turn from model pupils at school into children with “severe behavioural problems” and are sent to highly profitable and highly unpleasant “special schools” where their freedom is even worse restricted than fostercare.
No Wonder social workers are the most hated profession in the country……;
Has any reader of this blog ever heard of a social worker actually helping a family stay together?
I have been advising distraught parents continually for the last 12 years and I never heard of a single one…………

The government-initiated bill enshrines ‘corporate parenting’ as a god-given law and thus removes all individual responsibility.
It’s all too little too late for us, even if we managed to spot the good vs the bad and the indifferent peers.
Crimes, criminal behaviour and deception in the name of “god”, “nation”, “the Law”, “money” or whatever else ‘they’ can get away with…

Do these figures relate to private cases? What about public cases where a child is taken into care and the LA deny contact?
What of the other 20%? Is that figure reflective of age of child, area, if the Judge is in a bad mood or if there is a R in the month!
