Whilst Chairs may have come and gone at the now infamous independent inquiry into child sexual abuse, ongoing tensions, arguments and fiascos were always underscored by just one panel member. And now, it seems, the reign of tyranny is over.
Accusations of bullying and riding roughshod over Chairs, as well as routine intimidation is the legacy lead counsel Ben Emmerson leaves behind, after being suspended from the Inquiry yesterday. The suspension takes place amid growing concerns about certain aspects of his leadership within the team he was tasked to manage.
This won’t be the last of it. Emmerson is likely to counter with a robust defence, as lawyers tend to do, and Professor Jay will need to steal herself for what will be an aggressive effort. Still, with Emmerson no longer at the Inquiry, it will be interesting to see if the investigation settles down and starts to function as it should.
Natasha, it is a shame that all legal people cannot come together as a team and be the voice for the kids abused and to speak out against the corruption in governments, but it will not happen, as for the families who have lost their kids to the care many are also afraid to speak out and come together as one voice, So another person got rid of in the child abuse enquiries I wonder who will be next.

Why would they band together when their ‘take’ of the billions would have to be thus divided? You must remember; procurement of legal tender is the only reason for their existence.
Oh wait?!
You thought that someone actually wanted to help some kids somewhere??

Until Police are granted freedom to speak out what they knew but were silenced there will be nor transparency nor truth! The official secrets act should not have to apply in this one off situation. The truth is there were lies and cover ups and it STILL HAPPENS ! The IICSA is becoming a farce and as useful as a chocolate tea pot ! Yet again those who have suffered are given yet more pain and abuse as this continues from the system set up to protect. By the time it takes for the inquiry to end many victims and abusers will have died. Would the money not be better spent helping those seek metal health support whose lives continue to be traumatised? Justice means different things to each victim maybe IICS is not the answer. We already know of church victims who have puled out as they continue to be ignored by the Church. It is a disgraceful brutal sham

Marilyn I agree with you but the children in the care system have been screaming to be heard for untold years, I think Tony Blair has a lot to answer for as he gave insensitives to councils for more adoptions and fostering then he changed the secret act to 100 years at the same time it was his mate Jack Straw who tried to bring in the gagging order on kids not to report abuse, and it has and does happen, then Blair is big time into the insurances that every kid in care is covered by, so of course abused victims will never be heard the insurance company would go bust,

To be heard, the local authority should appoint a person the ‘befriend’ the child (now a supervision order under the Children Act 1989). In my case it was the befriender that sexually abused me.

This is the child protection process social workers are trained in, Experiential Psychopathy (http://www.john-howells.com/introduction.html).
Children are protected by ‘redirecting the psychic noci-vectors of their family relationships’.
Whilst my family’s psychic noci vectors were being redirected a sadist used me as a sex toy for three years.

That’s kind of you, but it is no problem at all and therein lies the key to the kingdom. Three consultant forensic psychiatrists and leading counsel cannot find any damage to be compensated.
The same act is simultaneously non-consensual intimate contact, as sexual abuse, and non-consensual and defective medical treatment. The damage is actually done by non-consensual and defective medical treatment.
The liability for sexual abuse is quite low but the liability for medical negligence will bankrupt the government. When the medical negligence of social workers and psychologists is understood, everybody who has suffered family proceedings will have a claim.
The government and its lawyers are desperately manoeuvring to keep the medical negligence component off the agenda.

another top lawyer suspended from the child abuse enquiry, perhaps both lawyers have been told speak out and your licence will not be renewed, Natasha this is the biggest scandal in history and the biggest cover up, how can the governments and police allow this to have happened, maybe this child abuse scandal will wake up the Nation. Smith Saville and so many others now dead were known to the police donkey years ago and all put under the rug.

Thanks Maggie, I just think there’s too much ego getting in the way and it’s outrageous given how much is at stake.
