The latest child welfare items that should be right on your radar:
- ‘Enormous changes’ to birth certificate rights for adopted people being planned (Ireland)
- Inquiry: The right to family life: adoption of children of unmarried women (England and Wales)
- Climate change: Today’s children ‘will face twice as many droughts’ (Worldwide)
Many thanks to Tum Mum for alerting us to the first item.
“Inquiry: The right to family life: adoption of children of unmarried women”
Can’t see this doing any good. its the same old thing year after year, one inquiry after another and nothing changes.

This inquiry is obsessed with unfair adoptions in the 50s 60s and 70s when parents and other high minded moralists forced their own daughters and other single mums to give away for adoption babies “born out of wedlock”;
I can confidently inform readers that the participants in the present inquiries will have a great time regretting events that can no longer be changed but will TOTALLY IGNORE events up to 70 years later where the state now forces adoptions on families where the mother and the parents are united in their desire to keep their babies;
“Focus on the mistakes from the past and ignore the iniquities of the present ” seems to be the motto of every inquiry into adoptions and fostering but maybe future generations will look back in horror at events that are taking place right now………..

Thats why the Govt ignore calls to apologize for adoptions. they know they will be flooded with liable cases galore.
