Welcome to another week.
As the government appears to be preparing for the all-out review of children’s social care it promised, views from key stakeholders, and some children, about what the review should focus on are starting to make their way online.
Our question this week then, is just this: what would you like the review to focus on?
Researching Reform 
I would love them to concentrate on listening to children in care now and care experienced people. The current system is not broken, it has imploded. This is cannot be a review and repair task; it must be a massive redesign conducted by listening to the sector.

Why grandparents or other family members are in the main disregarded as carers when children are taken into care.
Why children are not allowed to see their entire family once care proceeding are completed when a child is taken into care.
Why court ordered written updates on the children in care are never done, done sporadically or be so general they could be about any child. Letters should be signed & dated by the person who wrote the update so accusations cannot be made that social workers write them from a template.
Why social workers don’t work with families for the benefit of the child. I appreciate there are some cases where it’s not in the Child’s best interests to see their parents or other family members but if that is the case the reasons need to be given & written down so a challenge can be made if the parents disagree.
If it’s claimed the children themselves do not wish to have contact with their families then why are the reasons not investigated by an independent party. Why is there not mediation set up for children in care & their family.
Why are the families not allowed to see the children and hear the reasons first hand from the child at an early stage to enable the problem to be nipped in the bud, since temporary suspended contact soon becomes permanent.
Why is research into what benefits the child disregarded in favour of placing a child in care with foster carers & then those foster carers have incentives to become Special Guardians. Is this not a conflict of interest?
When a child become 18 years old & often still living with foster carers or special guardians, why is there nothing to facilitate previously estranged children & their families meeting up to see if an adult relationships can be achieved.

FREE SPEECH,free speech,free speech !Allow children in care the same rights as rapists and murderers in prison ! Give them access to phones and lap tops .Allow them to report abuse by (their jailers/fosterers/social workers and to speak to their visitors about going home or anything else they like in any language they like (not obligatory English).
STOP treating children worse than the most wicked criminals………..
