Beware what you ask for you get far less than you ever wanted …REALLY study what you need and then advise ..
As an Ex Mental Health Monitor (2002 – 2012) Patient & Public Involvment Forums and “Link” networks I am not so sure Adoptees damaged by Adoption will get what they need … I am aware of what many need (Trauma informed therapy) and have been asked to send an advisory report to a Group of them …
The issue is though preferred providers are already in place but are in fact pro-adoption and that no longer goes down well at all in many parts of the older sections of the Adoptee community ..
I also have reasons to believe that Scottish Adoptees are not well represented by the current figures pushing forwards for remedies ..There’s a problem there and even government have scant stats or reach into the full community ..
I am sad to say provisions may not become what people want … I will try to influence matters though ..
