- Government bans unregulated accommodation for young people in care
- Cheshire East to set up council-run children’s homes
- Plans for £6.4 million children’s home and ‘staying-close’ flats in Gloucester to be approved
Researching Reform 
More important than regulationof homes would be the threat of instant dismissal of any staff who refused to investigate complaints of abuse from inmates.
In Rotherham for example countless girls aged 12 or 13 complained that they were being forcibly prostituted by the taxi drivers but were ignored.
Of course some complaints would not be valid but all should be investigated.At present children in care are forbidden to tell of their abuse in care and contact is stopped(often for good) if they try to do it !
