These are the latest forced adoption stories that should be right on your radar:
“Britain Forced adoptions apology: Another Government failure”
I wonder why MPs and campaigners dont ask the govt why they are still allowing Forced adoption now. probably because they believe that most of the stolen children needed to be saved from violent or neglectful parents.

It’s a Movie just out (based on a real case) I hope the whole World will watch it! The trailer can be seen here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CioDVCtgyN0 There was also a conference:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdlowuuQPLoSo wonderful to see those fighting forced adoption and forced foster care have such great allies in India.

The Adoption Act 1976 is presumed by the writer of the column above to mark the end of forced adoption !
In fact the main achievement of that Act was to allow adopted children to obtain at age 18 their original birth certificates Thousands of babies and young children are still being forcibly adopted in the UK every year despite opposition in the courts from distressed and usually quite innocent parents on grounds of likely future abuse !
“Punishment without crime” seems to be the proud motto of the family courts as shrouded in secrecy they carry on regardless of the damage caused to both parents and children.

Looks like Nicola’s last dirk will hit the UK Govt between it’s Forced Adoption shoulders …That’s really on the cards …
I am not sure what benefits for Adoptees will come if she makes an apology to mothers but I am in touch with the Scottish Adult Adoptee Movement regarding aiding them as to what questions to put forwards to the First Minister .
The problem of Adult Adoptee Revocation Rights (to return to self identified identity) sitting inside the areas of mistreating Adoptions remains still as unsolved and I have no idea whether this piece on the chessboard will ever become more playable in the UK. I do think Revocation Rights matter too as it becomes a vote on the past conduct of Adoption and they way it’s not wanted by at least some of us .
I am still exploring this with a team helping me regarding Article 8 rights to identify as ones needs to, for a comfortable private life, and Adoptees are still not allowed to return to their own identity even when like me they were older at Adoption and knew who they were …..
I do think the State creating a fake identity for Adoptees (which some feel) is an article of property law and contravenes the “Law Of Persons” which underpins the HR Acts therein lies on part of my argument I hope to take to law as an LIP.
