These are the latest child welfare items that should be right on your radar:
- Joanna Cherry: Forced adoption has caused so much pain for families
- Consultation: Adoption support agencies – proposed regulation changes
- Court of Protection issues guidance on ‘closed hearings’ and ‘closed material’
Many thanks to Paul Brian Tovey for alerting us to the consultation.
History certainly does repeat itself when dicussing the forced adoptions of last century !
M/s Cherry implies that all the forced adoption wickedness stopped in 1976 !!
A mysterious date picked at random ? Or are we all missing something here?
As usual the apologists for last century’s misdeeds ignore or worse still hide the outrageous forced adoptions happening by the thousands every day right now !
Quite simply forced adoptions (adoptions opposed by the birth parent(s) in court) should be abolished and outlawed .
Until this happens those responsible should hide their heads in shame instead of filling up their adoption scorecards and even boasting of the way they snatch babies at birth assuming that if they do not the babies will suffer in a non existent future rashly foretold by an ignorant bunch of social worker prophets !

Take it from me I have been battering home the truth in many posts about CURRENT Forced Adoptions on Twitter directly to Joanna Cherry and for Adoptee rights to have eased methods to revoke our faked identities and Adoptions….I mean really having a go .. It’s got to be taken to them all the time ..
The current Post Adoption Service changes consultation by Ofsted really do need to happen mainly for Adults to stop Ofsted from overmanaging services and causing supply side shortages of counselling for trauma and pain caused by Adoption … Lots of Adult Adoptees want that .. BACP too has underpinned that view too ..
I see no problem for safeguarding kids though in that because lack of safety will not happen … Ofsted as usual mishandled this tone of this consultation and overconflated it with kids implied needs.
This consultation was ACTUALLY caused by the unmet needs demonstrated at the JCHR for adult supplies of trauma counselling to be freed up because regs are causing a dampening down effect on provisions ..
Some of us also sent in studied written 2022 concerns to Ofsted and BACP partly because the relationship between these two is overclose and seems to have been the pivot on which post adoptive counselling for Adoptees were snagged up Adult Adoptees need for freer provisions too …
