Britain’s first parent-led inquiry into the state of the country’s child protection system turned one on 20th November, World Children’s Day.
The commission is a reactive, real-time project which aims to investigate whether children’s and families’ human rights are being upheld inside the system, and offers families support and help at the same time.
As part of our work we have produced guides with and for child protection and care-experienced families, and we’ve created testimonial walls for children and parents to tell us about their experiences anonymously.

Human rights for women and children in the family courts are non existent. There is a war on women and going through the family courts in Britian is a very abusive process. Anyone can take you to court and get your children even an abusive ex boyfriend that was never around you and your children. No one is safe.

Thank you for your comment and we agree that the system is not fit for purpose. However we cannot publish your name even if you provide permission, as the law and the relevant reporting restrictions prevent us from doing that.

The fact that you cannot publish a person’s name even if they give permission or actually ASK you to publish it makes a mockery of democracy and the democratic right to protest.
I suggest that the Commision lobbies and campaigns for those involved in family court proceedings to be free to publish their own names if they want to do so !

I actually think it may be a legal overstep/ ultra vires and open to challenge

Apparently “stop oil protestors” and simlar demonstrators actually have the “human right” to sit down blocking motorways as a legal form of protest;
Contrast this with a law abiding mother who has her baby removed at birth for future risk and possible adoption but is threatened with jail if she protests openly at a public meeting or in the media via internet,tweet,facebook, or in any neswpaper large or small.
You would need a really top QC to challenge this position……….
