Readers will have noticed that Researching Reform hasn’t been posting regular standalone articles over the last few weeks, and we hope you will forgive us for that.
We are working on several child welfare projects at the moment including the Children and Families Truth Commission, which reduces our ability to write in-depth comment on the RR site, but we will do so once things become less busy.
Thank you for bearing with us. In the meantime, we will keep offering you updates on the latest child welfare issues and news items related to children, adoption and court systems around the world. We are doing this to let you know that we are still here, that you are not alone, and that we are thinking of you.
Today’s latest headlines about forced adoption, which should be right on your radar:
- Australia: Forced adoption victim calls for justice
- Australia: State Government must act to reunify families split by forced adoption
- Canada: Woman’s lawsuit alleges abuse in Winnipeg maternity home run by United Church of Canada

Dear Natasha, I’ve just noticed your apologetic comment about an unavoidable reduction in standalone articles. You set yourself incredibly high standards that few if any could meet and now apologise for a temporary absence due to even wider commitments! I just wanted to say thank you for all you do. Your output is phenomenal, concern for those victimised outstanding and compassion beyond comparison. Thank you Ed xxxx

Yes, a great site but a pity there are now so few who make comments that we can debate !
