Welcome to another week.
These are the latest child welfare items that should be right on your radar:
- Forced adoption: Scotland’s stolen generation
- Former Milton Keynes councillor jailed for child abuse
- Fermanagh victim of alleged child sexual abuse while in a children’s home issues legal action

ABOLISH FORCED ADOPTION ! (adoption actively opposed by parent(s))
Like I always say “apologies are rubbish” and achieve nothing.Urgent legislative reform is what is needed……….
If there is not enough support for complete abolition then the next best thing would be to make all adoptions “OPEN” .No more secrecy ,so that the adoptive parents and their addresses are identified and birth parents do not lose contact with their children for ever.

Scotland’s stolen generation:
Monica Lennon, a list MSP for Central Scotland, says what happened amounts to a “scandal”
“This was a system failure. It was a human rights abuse. And we should never allow anything like that to ever, ever happen again”.
I like how she refers to Forced adoption in past tense. Someone needs to wake her up to the fact this Scandalmis still going on now with the SS and Family courts.
