Researching Reform 
I was told, when I contacted a mediation provider, that mediation cannot be used in situations of domestic abuse, coercive control in particular. It seems obvious to me why it wouldn’t work in that situation. But of course social workers, including the GAL, knew better than the mediators themselves and insisted the abuse be allowed to continue through these sessions.
