A Commissioner for Domestic abuses?
The question for me really is how we make this accountable and lay monitored too .. Will it be or include “bottom up” figures and not career lackey’s of the systems ?
Or will we have another service design here that is fluff and feathers ? I suppose we will have to see … Experience though tells me any Body made by: “toppies” and their classes will finally serve them ..
I am working class and that’s what I have seen for a lifetime ..
Alternatives ? Yeah ! Get it all monitored by a Lay Body with powers to obtain information made of skilled-enough working class parents or independent figures with lived experience and train them up for KPI’s (Key performance indicators) … What are they ? .. .
Well for any working class people looking in…. YOU KNOW the people that matter – they are basically “Is this org doing what it’s designed to do ?” …. Is it really checking out mis-applied laws or draconian practices on people by systems?.. Is it checking that it is measuring the cross woven help levels available and if they are adequately applied .. ?
Or it is a talking shop of bovine excrementology ..? .
Do the job realisitically or pixx off ..
