The latest child welfare items that should be right on your radar:
- Inquiry into child sexual abuse slams religious organisations in the UK for “shocking failings” and “blatant hypocrisy” over their handling of child abuse allegations
- This week’s children and education complaint decisions from the Ombudsman
- Children’s online privacy code comes into effect
Many thanks to Joe Thwaites for alerting us to the first item.
What a missed opportunity by the Child Abuse Enquiry (IICSA) … By default too it has committed the same flaws (under-reporting) as the institutions it has held up for exposure .. Adoption is child abusive and some of us showed that clearly to IICSA in a survey of 95 UK Adoptees (40% abused)…
It’s abusive on many levels which can range from child sexual abuse to internalized abuses of senses and emotional/cognitive disorientation over fictional (legally imposed) identity ..

Child abuse by religious zealots is wicked but not so wicked as the abuse of children by fosterers, social workers, and adoptive parents !
What is the essential difference between the two?
Well there is nothing to stop children abused by priests, mullahs,or rabbis from reporting them to them to the police or failing that to their parents.
Children in CARE are FORBIDDEN to report abuse to their parents at contact otherwise contact is stopped immediately and sometimes for good !
Please campagn for children in care to be free to report abuse and when they do for all their complaints to be investigated……………..
