Secrecy is why it’s taken so long for this shocking scandal to come out. Mothers were stigmatised & many would have kept what happened to them a secret, even from their families. It will be extremely hard to track down the families involved.
If they didn’t keep records of the medication given to whom, then surely adoption records were kept? It’s very convenient to say records weren’t kept when there must be some records of the births.
