Welcome to another week.
The latest family court statistics for England and Wales tell us that in January to March 2021 there were 1,178 adoption applications, up 6% on the equivalent quarter in 2020. The number of adoption orders issued also increased by 6% to 1,166.
Meanwhile, an 81% increase relating to deprivation of liberty orders were noted in January to March 2021. Orders decreased by 4% in the latest quarter compared to the same period last year.
Our question this week then, is just this: what do you think explains the rise in adoption orders, and deprivation of liberty orders during those periods?
If ever we needed the FOI Laws it is NOW. I am the first UK Citizen to be banned from using the FOIA 2000 and i am the UK’s leading Vexatious Court Precedent. BTW it was the ICO who debarred me using the FOIA /2000 and the EIRA /2004

DOL increase is likely due to unmet SEN and lack of commissioning of CAMHS services. Factors include discrimination against neurodivergence that does not fit neatly into one box, e.g. refusing to accept disability in certain children and refusing to address mental health in the neurodivergent population. Also a lack of commissioning of appropriate school and social care placements. Holding placements, such as hospital wards, being highly inappropriate for the child’s needs, escalating difficulties. Discrimination against neurodivergent parents causing lack of support services due to childrens services being more likely to view their children’s needs as a result of poor parenting. The idea that DOL can be appropriate for a disabled child is the product of an ableist system that demonises parents. Continual DOL for long periods of time should not be allowed unless therapeutic intervention is in place.

Well the answers (Adoption only) is weave of factors all of which go back to mind-sets and networks that construct policies and practices over years – from Vicky Ford MP (Under-secretary of State for Children And Families) to Adoption UK, where the CEO Sue Armstrong Browne, is a major driver now of Adoption in the UK. She also is an Adopter of 2 kids ..
Plus CoramBAFF’s Policy and Research Officer – another Adopter to what is a whole culture of pro-adoption social policy pushers to solve problems of child care by dislocating backgrounds ..
That culture is using Universites like Cardiff to bolster adoption practice and others too who use grants to push a pro-adoption agenda in “studies” .. Seeing no harm in their post modern social constructionist view of ideniity and kids ..Class re-distribution of kids in Adoption is seen as cheap and birth family therapies and support are not .. Meanwhile the Adoption Support Fund is going to grow so Adopters can get plenty of help skilling up being parents and having outings, therapies , and horse riding too for some ..
What needs to be seen to be done is find the Adopters in all of this ..It’s all socially biased. Even at CAFCASS (“aiding” birth families the head of that is an Adopter… So look there’s a class bias happening and it’s led by toppies everywhere who are not accountable enough ..
They are all on the same train called “Runaway Adoption” .. And it’s speeding up ..WHOOO WOOOO …

In my opinion (and i’ve said this many times before), the rise in adoption orders via local authorities is very likely driven by the many thousands of pounds being claimed from the Govt by councils for every successful adoption. starting at approx £30,000 for one child rising to £80,000+ for 5 siblings in one placement.
why there seems to have been little to no discussion about this is mind boggling to say the least. maybe i’m just naive but it looks very suspicious to me.

1,178 at a going cost of inter-agency placement at (base cost) of £27,000
= £31,806,000…….. That’s quite a bit of “lost opportunities” to place the money to aid many birth parents into better states and keeping their kids .. And of course the Adoption Support Fund is now running into millions to help Adopters become skilled up to be parents of adoptees .. You know something is socially disoriented about all of this trade in kids ..
