Welcome to another week.
The Family Procedure Rule Committee – a body which makes operational rules for the family courts in England and Wales – has appointed five new members, and reappointed another.
Two barristers and two solicitors are now on the committee, and one social worker has also been appointed. The head of Cafcass’ legal department has been reappointed. The term runs for three years until the committee elects or reelects its members.
The announcement on the government’s website says the committee’s aim is “to make clear, easily understandable rules to create an accessible, fair and efficient family justice system.”
“to create an accessible, fair and efficient family justice system.”
… logic leads us to deduce that up to now then the family justice system has been unfair, inefficient and inaccessible….

4 Urgent reforms for the new members to consider :-
1) Abolish forced adoption. (contested by a parent)
2)Abolish “risk assessments” and ban taking children into care for “risk of future harm”
3)Allow free speech to parents wishing to protest publicly when their children are taken
revealing their children’s names and also details of the family court proceedings..
4) Since parents can be branded “abusers” by family courts they should only do so to criminal standards of proof (beyond reasonable doubt) and no” hearsay” admitted.
Yes Parliament would have to change the law to allow these reforms so it is up to the new members to lobby their MPs .
Don’t hold your breath…………………………
