assertive outreach
• intensity—particularly in
services working with parents in
the pre-birth period and during
care proceedings
A typical advice for those engaged in “recurrent proceedings” (code for ” you have had one child taken and if you have any more we will snatch them all at birth ” )
I could be all for assertive outreach if I only knew what it mean’t ! As for “working” with parents ;That can only mean telling pregnant women that they will lose their babies as soon as they are born following proceedings where bent barristers will make sure that mothers have no chance to speak for themselves let alone win………………..
Someone very close to us has had two babies taken away. There were issues but the courts worked against them and the family who wanted to keep the children. This is also a case of you will not be allowed to keep your baby or subsequent babies, told that even before they are born. Yet even with a fight in court to keep them within the family, a case costing thousands of pound for the authorities. There was no chance for the family up against the authorities. These children who were so loved and will continue to be loved were adopted (a forced adoption by the authorities). This is very cruel and the law needs to change.
