I’m not allowed contact with my grandson as the local authorities tried to put him up for adoption but that did not happen I have not seen him since last February but I’m getting legal advice as I want to see him he was took away from me on a stupid accusation of poor parenting and neglect and not safeguarding him which is a load of rubbish but the magistrates took the local authorities word and not mine these people should stop traumatising children it’s not right especially when they are taking from loving homes

Thank you for sharing your experience, and I’m very sorry you and your grandson have gone through all that you have.

Dare I repeat yet again “There should be NO PUNISHMENT WITHOUT CRIME !” ?
Taking a child from its parents is a terrible punishment for both if no significant crime has been committed against that child.
The solution is so very simple………. No child should be removed from parents unless they have been convicted of a serious crime hurting or endangering that child.A child should also be removed if a parents is charged with such a crime but should be returned immediately if charges are dropped or if parents are found “not guilty”

No Contact here still while, he has become Obese, A Thief, got arrested and has NO Family. I can’t even make an application to the COP. It will be refuted. It does not matter what happens to my son who has now been locked up and become a serious Sexual Predator while, they covertly leave me out from the COP DOLS application. I did absolutely nothing wrong. They say Autonomy overrides Family Life but, it appears getting arrested and being locked up overrides living a safe happy Family Life. Is this really a Democratic Society??

We {innocent Families} need a more open powerful voice and proper exposure in order to get Justice and have our basic Human Rights respected.

Thank you for your comment. Under current government guidelines, every parent with a child in care is allowed to have face to face contact. The sector is also operating a “business as usual” policy, so there is no excuse for full court ordered contact unless there is a genuine and compelling reason to postpone it. If staff say they are concerned about infection, remind them they can wear masks and the children and parents can be socially distanced where necessary. https://researchingreform.net/2020/05/29/face-to-face-contact-for-children-and-birth-parents-allowed-under-lockdown-regulations/
