Welcome to another week.
As the Department of Education promised to release guidelines last week to ensure children in care who have been granted contact with their birth families were able to access that contact, and failed to do so, parents and their children remain in limbo, often unable to see or speak with their biological parents.
Our question this week, is just this: do you think there should be an independent investigation into councils on their handling of contact between birth families and their children during the outbreak?
Definitely needs sorting because all it’s done is more damage to the kids, its bad enough the damage taking them from us,they should be with their family now this deadly virus is around, not with strangers that dont care about them and love them.
I miss my grandkids so much and itl never get easier

I have written intensively on this subject confirming three weeks back of the problems that indeed have arisen. There should now be a full investigation across the UK on the subject matter as a result of great urgency. It was very wise that the Scottish and London Government discharge all children in care of a local authority back to their mothers providing they are in children’s home setting, social media would help children in foster care. Due to the evidence of the coronavirus and the risks factors the councils in Scotland, have indeed placed their frontline – staff in grave risk also sadly most of all children in care are also at risk. I outline that most Scottish councils are not covered by their insurance policy should a staff member pass on the virus to a client in their care. As always the Scottish government refuses to hear what I have already written and mentioned some three weeks back. Waste of time. Peter

I reported LAs for abduction and C67 applications were accepted. It is very significative, I think.
