The child welfare items that should be right on your radar:
- Teenager in care almost starved to death
- Ofcom to be given power to fine social media companies in a bid to protect children from harmful online content
- Former President of the Family Division James Munby comments on the UK’s surrogacy laws
How sad for the young man & his family. It’s clear the father loves & has cared for his son for the past 18 years, up until he was unwell himself. A third party who has known the father for 12 years, is vouching for the father & feels the young man should not be in the care of the council. Yet the council goes to Court & the judge accepts what the council says & puts the young man in the care of the council, even though the young man nearly died whilst in the care of the council. The council should try to work with the father, not cut him out of his child’s life! The father knows his child very well so the council should be taking their lead from the father, not imposing what they want to do!
