It would be a lot cheaper than the “special schools” so beloved of social workers that cost three times as much !

But then they would all become educated posh kids with the same mentality as those who do the damage to this country by ignoring the will of the people to serve their own agenda.
these kids should go to schools in their own community where they belong.

Finally a Council who CAN see the wood for the trees.
Torfaen Council:
“Being a looked after child is not the best outcome for a child – the best outcome is that we intervene early and prevent that child needing to have statutory services.”
this needs to be the way forward for all Councils across the UK.
its obvious the rise in numbers of children taken into care is unsustainable while fat cat agencies are lining their pockets out of the misery it causes to so many innocent people.

Kudos to Torfaen Council, but why has it taken so long for someone to see this.

Didn’t a think tank come up with the boarding school idea several years ago? I believe they were researching cheaper alternatives for children in care. It’s also very akin to Approved Schools! Of course both have been the subject of child historic abuse. Call me cynical but these would be a breeding ground for future abuses.
