After this site revealed that law firms and councils coerced parents into signing illegal documents forcing them to give up their right to record child welfare meetings, a new poll asking parents why they choose to record offers a shock revelation.
The poll, created on Facebook yesterday, asked parents who were going through the family courts whether they had recorded a communication during their case, and if they had, what the reason was for making that recording. The poll initially offered the following five responses:
- The professional seemed to have an agenda
- I wanted to be able to read/listen/ see it again at my own pace
- The professional had made errors in past reports/ communications
- The professional was breaking the law
- Other – please add your comment below
Facebook allows posters to add more options to its polls. A parent added the following sixth option to our poll, which went on to receive the most engagement:
- [Social workers] were lying about what was said to fit into definitions for taking children – it was deliberate.
A total of 47 parents took the poll, with 43% of those who took part choosing the sixth answer – that social workers deliberately lied and misrepresented the truth to secure care orders. A further 31% of parents selected the first option, citing the need to record as a defensive measure to protect their families from child welfare professionals with an agenda unrelated to their children’s best interests. 10% felt that they needed to record to protect against future errors in reports and 9% recorded meetings to evidence law breaking. A minority, 7% left comments about their own experiences of recording and attempts by professionals at blocking them from making recordings.
One mother wrote under the poll:
“I didn’t ask to audio record, l just did it. I did then tell the social worker, who said l could not record her in my own home without her permission… She had previously fabricated so many malicious lies in her reports, but she turned all fake nicey-nicey overnight after that, even suddenly started calling me “sweetheart” 🤢 because she knew she was being recorded. She made me ill for a whole year before that, with all her lies and bullying and arrogant threats. Recording her, even against her wishes, turned things around for me.”
Public family court judgments confirming that social workers are fabricating evidence to place children in care are on the rise, but to date there have not been any civil or criminal prosecutions for these fabrications, which are illegal in most instances.

it makes no difference anyway. we have a recording of a meeting where ss say that we’ve never harmed our children and we’re not a risk. they say “it’s about parenting your children”. the local police even listened and then looked into how ss managed to get a kidnap order (epo) and found out it was a forgery. the police were ordered to “back off or lose your jobs and pensions” so the criminals got away with it.
the judge on the second case disallowed the recording as evidence, saying that it was made without the knowledge of ss. and to this day we’ve never been able to find any legal help to seek justice for the loss of our human right to a family life.

In Canada, you only need a warrant to record a conversation if you are a third party and are not a part of the conversation. Meaning if you are in a conversation with another party, you have the legal right to record the conversation without the legal obligation of informing the other party that you are recording the conversation with them

You want to catch some of the true atrosities that occur within the so called child protection services, try being involved in some of the groups and some of the experiences of parents / families and children … Fortunately you got to see this poll, but the truth is there are thousands of families experiencing this and other occurances from abuse of power to misfeance etc …
Many social workers ( BC) Are not registered and do not need to be registered according to the government, therefore that limits the accountability and transparency of an organization intended to protect children …
Also, the complaints process involves them investigating themselves and trying to find advocacy is limited unless it involves a death or serious injury so contacting the Representative for Children and Youth goes no where, and the Ombudsman you have to exhaust every other means possible, the legislatures office directed me back to the MCFD office that the complaint originated at lol …
Most families do not know their rights or how the CFCSA and UN Convention: Rights of the Child are infringed and breached…
Ps I have recorded !!! For proof of what has been said, evidence if necessary, to build a case or protect the interest of parties involved …
Under the criminal code section 183.5 if I remember correctly recording a conversation you are involved in, is not against the law as only one party to the conversation has to be aware of the recording occurring.. .

it was non-registered sw that kidnapped my eldest 2 that started the chain of events that led to the entire future generation of my family being kidnapped and forcibly adopted. they call themselves “senior practitioners”. i also have a letter from it saying that she “imagined” what we would have said in an assessment, and it’s imagined assessment was used in all the cases, we never actually had a real assessment.

i would say imagined assessments are the norm within SS circles and thousands of parents have fallen Victim to it.
the reality is the Human Race have been persecuted for thousands of years using Lies, deception and false allegations. usually against the poor and less educated because they are such an easy target. to think this still goes on today is absolutely mind boggling.

I have several recordings, audio and video with audio, they consist of lies, bullying, insinuations, hostility etc. I have a video where the worker refused our meeting because she seen the camera on and left very disgruntled, almost falling off her high heels as she exited. She agreed to return if I shut the camera off, I did, but I placed my cell phone upside down and recorded with that instead.
I have forms indicating agreeing to accusations against my significant other in order to have supervised access after forcing him to move out even though it breached bail conditions, I had the wording changed to “alleged vs accused” via the CFSRB meeting.
These child “protection” agencies are corrupt, they’re oppressive, and most of these workers are not even registered with the college of social workers/social service workers which if they were, would allow them to conduct those professionalized tasks, they refuse to register to avoid accountability for their actions.
They’re overzealous in their actions, and their twisting of interpretations of what’s said is disgusting. They’re abusive and they should not be the ones to determine whether children are apprehended or not unless evidence is clearly documented via actual professionals.
The people they choose to place children with do not undergo enough extensive training or “testing” to see if they can handle children who do or have suffered actual abuse, in essence, the removal via apprehension is abusive and in most cases, not warranted.

PTSD and illness caused by the trauma of what the SS do to parents and children needs to be brought under the spotlight to make the public aware of whats going on.
Crimes have been committed but nobody has ever been prosecuted.
the question is Why.

I wish I would have known the things I know now when my case took place in 2013. I was young and dumb and no clue what my constitutional rights were. My lawyer did me no good and Child Protective services had people lying under oath for Them! If only I had recorded or done my research before I lost my babies….. one broken mama!
