Astonishing !! Isabelle Trowler the chief social worker ;unlike most of her co-workers sounds like a kind and compassionate person. The theme of her report seems to be that too many children are being removed unecessarilyand with that I could not possibly disagree !

“the report said a national programme of work should begin to explore how families could be supported to stay together, where there was a good chance they could do so successfully.”
Diverting families away from the family courts is the most sensible approach as this would enable most children to stay with their parents or extended family.
Family court Judges rely almost entirely on what they are told by Social workers re the quality of parenting a child received prior to being taken into care. this is dangerous as its well documented how often Social workers have been caught submitting false information in case files to the court. its a widespread problem with collusion at its heart as pointed out by Justice Pauffley in 2014.
