Up to date information and awareness of trends in child welfare are important aspects of the family justice system, and also a vital source of reassurance for parents and families going through the courts.
Today we’re bringing you three sites you might find interesting. The first is called Research Gate, which offers international scientific research on a wide range of topics. There are a lot of reports on this hub looking at child welfare issues, and the research is current.
The Child Protection in Sport Unit (which is a partnership with the NSPCC and national sports bodies), also has a Resource Library, filled with videos on every aspect of child welfare and best practice content for professionals. You can access policy documents, videos, webinars and forms as well.
And finally, there is the Safeguarding Children e-Academy. This is an online learning centre which offers courses on safeguarding, but also has a free resource and training section, worth looking at.
A big thank you to Janie Doe for sharing Research Gate with us.

We all have seen the money involved the curruption is big and everyone wants a slice of the cake. Nobody is going to bite the hand that feeds them. Money laundering, fraud, perjury, abduction, slavery, cse,CSA,trafficking, sex trafficking the list is endless the only people suffering is the children and parents and families not them . They move on to another case

Just Curious why hasn’t you Government done what We Do in the US a Non related Person is brought in Just for the child/children it is an unpaid position she doesn’t answer to the Court Social Service or the Parents she answers for and to the child/children involved She makes sure they are safe happy and healthy where ever they are, she makes recommendations to the court as to what she believes is in the child’s best interest she investigates the parental home and the foster as well to keep the child safe as possible and can make a well considered opinion on what is in the child’s best Interest. The Training is about 6 weeks and They are only reimbursed for expenses and are allowed to take the child on outing so the child feels free to speak without pressure. It is a really good way of keeping Social Services honest and children safe at the same time

Sorry Also what kind of education is required in GB for someone to be a Social Worker? In the US it takes a 2 year degree to be just a regular social worker those in Child Protection also need to complete Early Childhood development and Education several different classes in Child and family psychology along with a complete overview of the family court system and have completed an intensive course’s in recognizing physical, sexual and psychological abuse. Not just in the child but in all family members (If an adult in the home is suffering from abuse it is highly likely the child will also if they haven’t yet)
