The government has failed to respond to a Freedom Of Information Request we made last month which asked them what had happened to all of its child welfare consultations.
We sent our request on 15th October. The reply was due on or before the 10th November. Unusually, we never received a notification from the FOI website alerting us to the delay.
The government’s failure to respond in time means that they have broken the law. Researching Reform has now launched a review to find out why the request has been ignored.
We’ll update this story as soon as we know more.

The problem with UK child protection policies is they are not evidence based. The wording of the Children’s Act 1989 needs to be changed so local authorities are required under section 83 to collect & hold information on child abuse perpetrators. Local authorities must also be required to use the information they collect on perpetrators to formulate evidence based child protection polices instead of using information about the child victims which does not protect children from abuse. The UK Government has not one iota of interest in child protection.

They the government only have their own interests to heart and that is to cause as much pain and horror to families while they still sit in theri HIGH CHAIRS being spoon fed as if they are living gods. We know they are just a bunch of elite paedophiles protecting their own best interests and fuck the ones in need. Thank you Facebook for your amazing support. Linda

If the Government has broken the law, it must be held to account at least. It may be regarded as a small matter, but if we can’t trust them on small matters, how on earth can we trust them on large ones?

Did they at least say sorry your FOI request is denied because we shredded the documents?

it would seem that many FOi’s get ignored or the request is declined for ridiculous reasons.
the iCO seem to give the same response a lot of the time. its all about Barriers being put in our way when we are trying to get answers or to the truth. its extremely frustrating how they usually wait the 21 days to respond just to tell you your request is denied. this is the system against the public. its simply not acceptable.

whatdotheyknow.com I have seen some tricks on this site believe me. I am told it is moderated by Cambridge students. I would like to know if anyone else , beside me has had requests to ICO via this site, firstly hidden and them completely removed ? Or am I the first to experience such tactics. I have the proof . Additionally an FOIA request sent to ICO same issue, via private e-mail, having first been issued a number, was subsequently blocked. issue relates to Cumbria Police and attachment of earnings
