Researching Reform 
I applaud any system that stops a child going into care! The Care System damages children and their families! I repeat The Care System damages children and their families!
Now they should work on the rest of the cases that are putting kids into that damaging Care System!
All children should have regular reveiws to leave The Care System just like prisoners leaving Prison. Just like patients leaving hospital when they are well. Kids in care should not be left in care until they age out. By that time the damage is too deep !

Children in care are gagged . Usually they are not allowed to testify in court even when begging to do so. Laptops and mobiles are confiscated to isolate them from family and friends. At parents’ contact visits children in care are not allowed to discuss their cases, say they want to go home, complain of sexual or physical abuse by fosterers or social workers or even speak their own language if they are foreign. If they do any of these things contact is stopped.
Murderers and rapists in prison are allowed to telephone out and to talk freely with visitors unlike most innocent children in care who can do none of these things !

When the child is damaged by going into The Care System, blame is attached to the parents, for their treatment or lack of treatment of the child, causing the child to go into Care.
There is no liability on those who damages the child once in The Care System! So no matter how many times professionals err and get it wrong because The Care System simply doesn’t work, they compound the problem by continuing to bring more children into The Care System despite knowing that children are being damaged just by being taken from their homes or the home of a close relative.
Once in The Care System, in the care of foster carers or children’s homes if the child is further abused, psychologically, sexually or physically, those individuals responsible for abusing a child may be but unlikely to be prosecuted, the LA who vetted the placement and put them there will not be held vicariously responsible!
How stupid is that!

Dana, you will always read in the media of kids abused by parents then taken into care, so why is it the media report little if any thing of kids abused in care oh yes its a closed shop, then we go to the Jerimy Kyle program and the nation can think and say well all of these abused kids by the family are all the same as in his show,
