The Care Leavers’ Association(CLA), a charity working to improve the lives of people who have been in care as children, has just published a survey on care leavers’ health, an area often ignored.

The CLA would like to know about your health and your experience of health services.

The Association is working with 12 NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) across England, in order to raise awareness about the health issues facing care leavers as well as looking to the longer term to improve services and health outcomes.

The survey is open to care leavers of any age and information given will be used to try to improve services. The survey introduction includes helpful guidelines and advice, and offers survey takers the chance to win a £200 gift voucher.

The CLA is also going to be hosting Health Forums as part of the project and it is looking for up to 12 people to attend in each area. The first meetings will be held in:

London 21st January 6pm – 8pm

Manchester 26th January 6pm – 8pm

Birmingham 28th January 6pm – 8pm

To attend please email David or Jakeb on to let them know which forum you would like to go to.

Many thanks to Dana for sharing this much-needed initiative with us.
