Ofsted highlights the views of the child in care.
That is, they were asked questions concerning their foster home or childrens home. You can buy the book, written by Ofsted for £72.00
I would be interested to know the questions asked to elicit answers. Was there a mention about the children’s real families? Could it be they weren’t asked any questions concerning their own families as the book may have only focussed on the veiws of their care placements and not that they may have wanted to go home. This kind of research means nothing if questions asked have a bias.

Hi Natasha
Many thanks for putting the Lady Hale speech on here. This is very useful and bang on topic for me as my dissertation is on “the voice of the child in intractable parental disputes”. This is an excellent summary.
