Welcome to Election week.
As polling day looms, politicians have begun to share their manifestos and continue to make pledges (pledges they are unlikey to keep or genuinely care about, mind).
Looking at the current list of priorities and each party’s position on things like legal aid, child welfare and the social work sector, our question this week is just this: what do you think of the parties’ positions on these issues and do you feel they understand them well enough?
If only he were still alive I would vote for Lord Sutch (Monster Raving Loonies) .He made more sense than the others……….

it does not matter what their policies are as they are just words. Its a matter of carrying out the words and that rarely happens.
No they do not understand and I was surprised to learn that a few years ago.
I was speaking of real life experiencces re children a few years ago to the Ministers and their lights were not even lit. It was such a strange experience. All the words about caring for children, etc but they could not even feel what I was saying. Neither looked me in the eye. Both looked over my head like I did not exist. So I doubt they have changed in 5 years.
