Lord Nueburger, Supreme Court states Muslim women should be allowed to wear the full veil in court to respect their customs. What of our British customs? When in Rome……! It’s not as if the Koran insists on women being fully veiled!
Tough one – when in Rome is a good point, many Muslim countries require visitors and residents to abide by their rules, but I like the idea of being open minded and allowing all customs and rituals as long as they don’t harm anyone.
How would you know the right person was under the veil?
Judges check out faces when making a decision if the person was lying or not. How could they do that? God forbid they would have to check out the evidence instead!
I think it is a step too far.

I presume there would be an ID checking process 🙂 and some restrictions during evidence giving etc.
