The terrible story of a mother who was brutally attacked by her partner in front of their two year old twin boys and who now must write to him whilst he serves prison time for trying to kill her has, quite rightly, created outrage amongst the public both here in England and internationally.
Now, a petition has been created to try to get the callous order revoked, which forces the mother to update the father of the boys on the children’s progress and also to establish contact with the boys through correspondence he is sending to them.
Whilst the judge may feel he applied the law correctly in this case, and with a recent ruling which suggests that human rights breaches may not be taken into consideration for private family law cases seemingly bolstering his position, it’s going to be an uphill battle trying to get the Order revoked, but it can be done.
This Order is not in the best interests of the children and does not take into account the mother’s trauma either, and whether the family courts like it or not, human rights cannot be brushed aside in family law cases when it suits them, or use the excuse, as they have done in the past, that private law cases are exempt because a public authority is not involved. It is a manifestly unfair judgment, to say the least.
We say go for it, we’re right behind you. And if you agree, please sign the petition, which has already garnered nearly 8,000 signatures. They only need 2,000 more. Let’s complete this petition by tomorrow morning….
Thank you to the lovely Thelemic Waves for alerting us to this petition.
Does anyone question whether the court has the legal POWER to force anyone to write 3 letters per year to anyone else let alone someone who brutally attacked and half killed the writer ? Can she write “I hope you rot in hell you bastard” or something similar and has the judge any power to compose something more “suitable” and tell her to write that? I can’t help feeling that this warrants a serious enquiry as nobody asks these questions at all.

Its no shock to me as I have witnessed similar many times in 20 years.
No, she has to obey and tell the children their “father” is a wonderful man.
You can only say good things to your children about these perpetrators or the judge will jail you and even take the children off you . Seen this so many times and hardly anyone believes it.
I am surprised this mother was not gagged from speaking as that is the usual punishment and then jailed of course.
Once released he will apply for custody.
It all a show though – per legal advice – to pretend and groom the judge into believing he cares about the children when in fact revenge is his real motive. If the pattern follows he will find her and the children, stalk her and chances are police will not assist.

This case is extremely disturbing. First of all why did her violent husband manage to get legal aid and access to expensive lawyers and she had to fund her representation with her meager savings? Secondly, Maybe the judge needs to see a close up of what her husband did to her, or is he so religious that he wants her to offer the other cheek? I would like to know more about the background of this judge, and how he came about giving such an order. Maybe the question we should be also asking is how well are our judges equipped to oversee this kind of trial?
Natasha, thank you for posting this petition I will definitely sign it and make sure everyone I know on social media does the same. However, I do think the justice system has a great deal to answer for yet again!

I hope they get 20,000 signatures. At least. This ruling flies in the face of all reason, commonsense and humanity. What’s happening in these Courts?

We are constantly hearing the bleating of fathers and Father’s Rights groups, who claim they have been denied contact with their children by the Family Courts. The question is, what more heinous crime does a father have to commit than this criminal for the Courts to deny such contact?.
Maybe they should be required to tell us before they start their bleating stories again.
