Natasha, I have written statements from the social worker that are part of our case. You can clearly see the different fonts and clarity of type and style of writing that show whole portions have been cut and pasted! They couldn’t even be bothered to change he to she and vice versa! I have no doubt this is common practice, if not, who do I report it to?

Numbers of adoptions plunges to crisis levels after Michael Gove reforms! (Guardian)
So pleased! Shouldn’t be palming off other peoples kids to others, no matter how desperate they are to have a child! It’s known to damage children so why do they insist? So many other options for the parents and children are just not being considered and the speed of adoptions are pushing adoptions as first choice as noted by Sir Munby!

Hi Natasha, Just noticed your twitter flicker about guide to bust adoption myths. No doubt being pushed out because of the 47% drop in adoptions despite a previous high!
It’s a shame they don’t follow up what happens after adoption! Since anyone can adopt it leaves the child especially vulnerable. Checks cannot be thorough enough as evil intent is hidden. With the newspapers flooded with abuse stories you would think that now was the time to review the governments adoption policies and look to ways the child can be kept within their own family. Whilst that may be no guarantee the odds are better!

Yes, it’s very interesting. The news on the radio this morning suggested that the drop was down to recent precedents set in various family law judgements, but I think it’s more complicated than that. I think you’re right, I think there need to be check ups after adoption, there needs to be a proper and rigorous data collection of all aspects of social care and we need a record of how many children run away from care and adoptive homes and what happens to them. Nothing at the moment is even close to being good enough.

Hi Natasha, but the government is still pushing adoption despite not knowing the answers! Incredible when you consider we are talking about giving away children to strangers!!

Where the fuck do you fit in the world when you are familyless because of foster care?
The voice of the child! Kids in foster care don’t realise that some families want them and want to have contact with them but are prevented by social workers!

I just read more articles on the site of “I was a foster kid.” Looney Tunes tells it like it was for her as a foster child. Social workers should take note.

Parents fight British social services ‘gag’ to petition European Parliament
Britain’s social services are “unique” in the European Union for “threatening and bullying” parents who speak out against the forced adoption or “snatching” of their children, MEPs have said……..
The parliament’s committee condemned “unacceptable” moves to pressure people from giving evidence to MEPs at a time when most complaints about forced adoption or the unjust loss of children to social services are coming from Britain………
Jude Kirton-Darling, a Labour MEP, called for an investigation because of the increasing number of forced adoption or care complaints coming from Britain.
“The number of petitions suggests that something worrying is going on,” she said.
“There should be a an investigation about what is going on in the UK. There needs to be a detailed response form the Government……”

More and more people are beginning to see all is not well with the UKs government policies on child protection!
