- Contempt of Court – YouTube video showing Professor David Ormerod QC, Law Commissioner for Criminal Law, talking about The Law Commission’s recommendations for an online service listing court reporting postponement orders. The service would enable publishers, journalists and bloggers reporting criminal trials to establish whether reporting restrictions are in force, and so reduce their risk of contempt. This is a global scandal! The part played by the UK government is nothing to be proud of! Lets not forget the government have been taking children from their homes over decades and each decade has brought more exposure into the abuses the children suffer at the hands of those who are employed to protect them! The government cannot defend themselves by saying they were not aware.
Fairly recently Australia apologised for their part in historic abuse of what occurred when kids were sent by the UK to Australia. The papers are drowning in abuse stories from kids that have passed through the care system. We have yet to hear from the kids who are currently in care. We do know that the majority of Child Line calls are from kids in care! We do know that allegations are made against fosterers but we rarely get to hear the outcomes!
The UK government is complicit in the subsequent abuses of children that occurred as a direct result of the child being in the care system instead of remaining in their own home. They had their chance to make reformation but they have made it worse for families! Not only removing a child from their home and placing them with strangers employed to look after them but also stopping contact with all family members for no good reason!
The UK government is also promoting forced adoption despite facts coming to light that oftentimes, 1 in 3, the kids were returned to the care system, more damaged and that kids were rehomed on bulletin boards In America for almost a decade! All this and abused or killed in so called “care!” The UK government have not admitted just how many kids have been abused or killed or went missing from foster homes or care homes! How many “carers” or professionals within the system have been prosecuted for these crimes? The law of averages is being seriously challenged by what has been disclosed! Whilst more transparency is needed enough is already known to show clearly the “care system” does not work for the children as their poor outcomes prove, nor does it work for families, so who exactly is it working for?

Well done Sabine and Phil for highlighting the dispicible practice of force adoption! How the UK government can state they are safeguarding children by adoption to anyone that wants a child is beyond me! Lessons of the past are not learnt but swept under the carpet! It’s about time that family services are about the family.

Proof that the care system does not work is evident by the governmental statistics. As more children have been taken into care, more information has been taken also!
The statistics show that looked after children, commonally caled kids in care, have risen dramatically since 2009. It also shows the poor outcomes of children in care have not decreased against other children who are not in care. What is also disturbing is the high levels of development and emotional problems, educational SENs, school exclusions, criminal convictions, substance misuse and self harm experienced by the kids in care. 3,196 calls to the help line by (presumably older) kids in care asking about running away! Thats 1 child in 26 but does not give the age of the caller! It’s significant that we are always being told by social services that kids taken into care are rescued and thousands more should be taken too! Its plain to see they don’t look at the statistics or they would see the poor outcomes of the kids in care and know they are doing them no favours but compounding problems. It is also plain to see that children left in their own homes are ultimately better off!
Statistics can be found on the UK National Statistics website. “Children looked after by local authorities in England”. It shows the outcomes of children looked after too. Yearly stats.

The Ofsted report ends…….
“The thematic inspections were carried out across 11 local authorities, drawing on evidence from 124 cases and from the views of parents, carers and professionals from the local authority and partner agencies.
No children were found to be at immediate risk of harm at the time of the inspections.”

Yes! No doubt they were about to be shut down after they reported the plights of the kids in care neglected by many local authorities who were not operating to even a basic standard! After a few slapped wrists and the threat of no income they have changed their tune! They cannot tell the truth! After all how would they be able to justify how bad the situation has become! I have nightmares of the thousands of kids disaffected by their experiences in care and how that will impact on their lives and others in the future. The Governments statistics show that every single aspect of the lives of children in care are below par so how do they continue to justify taking even more children? Are they delusional! No I suspect money talks!

Who said this? No it wasn’t ian josephs,john Hemming, or any of the other “diaffected” bloggers.It was Edward Timpson the children’s minister.So why don’t judges ever compare the risks of care with the risk of leaving kids with loving but imperfect parents?
If the new “Cinderella ” law comes in jailing parents for up to 10 years for “failing to show affection” to their children ,will this apply also to the social workers and fosterers?If not what will be the benefit of moving such children?
