This month’s breath-taking banner art has been kindly donated to Researching Reform by highly accomplished landscape artist, Matt Forster.

Matt specialises in Überpainting, works of art which are designed rather than painted. Matt says of the style, “It means literally over, and metaphorically the images are over the top, an essence, an ideal…. The paintings have a very graphic quality.” The level of work entailed means that Matt’s creations can take weeks to achieve.

This beautiful watercolour on paper is entitled “East Anglia” and we think it is perfect for our burgeoning Spring.  If you want to buy it though, it will set you back £8,500 – good art comes at a price, and we feel very honoured to be able to place it on our site.

Matt is currently showing in London all week at the Works on Paper Fair at the Science Museum (one of our favourite museums of all time).

A very big thank you to Matt for allowing us to feature his work; you can follow the lovely MJ Forster on Twitter here.
