It’s only Monday, but already there are some interesting things buzzing around the net for all you social work and family justice enthusiasts….
- Local Government Ombudsman Launches New CYP issues newsletter – The case studies make for very interesting, and important reading. Newsletter aimed at child advocates and other support services
- A Bill to Reduce the Voting Age Makes Its Way Through The House of Lords – we’re keeping an eye on this Bill, so watch this space
- Probably one of the Worst Written Articles on Family Law We’ve Seen in A Long Time – From a journalist at the Daily Telegraph.
Having read the Telegraph’s article I can understand this blog’s knee jerk comments. Its said that the truth often hurts and is this a case in point, one wonders ?
From a factual/statistical stance one cannot fault the article and if this were written about those appalling male ‘chappies’ there would be no complaint, one suspects.
Please, let’s be adult enough to accept criticism.

Hi Robert, please take a look at my response to the article on the Telegraph website – the article is factually incorrect in a lot of places and very poorly written. It will be obvious to anyone who is aware of the law in this area that my response is not borne out of hurt.
