Renowned portrait photographer Harry Borden, who has snapped the likes of Heads of State and sporting legends, is collaborating with DadsHouse, a truly brilliant enterprise which offers single and lone dads and their kids support, on the one and only “In Dad’s Shoes” nationwide tour.

The tour is a UK-wide travelling exhibition, filled with photos of lone fathers and their children, and DadsHouse is delighted that Harry Borden has kindly agreed to be their in-house photographer for the tour. In Dad’s Shoes launched in the House of Lords last year and since then, has travelled all over the country and has been viewed by over ten thousand pairs of eyes. That’s a lot of ogling. And with the seal of approval from the Department of Work and Pensions and lovingly supported by Culture Secretary Maria Miller MP, Lord Speaker Baroness D’Souza, The deputy Mayor of London and The Earl of Listowel, the exhibition couldn’t be smarter.

Now, Harry has written a piece about these photographs and his reasons for taking them. You can also see some of the photos he has already taken for the exhibition; the raw style he uses captures the feelings in the photographs in a way very few photographers today are able to.

Harry is currently looking for lone fathers to take part in the exhibition, so if you and your children love the idea of having a family portrait taken by one of the best known photographers in the business today, this is your chance. Harry says on his website, “Every participant will get a print and will, I hope, enjoy the process of being photographed.”

Having had the privilege of working with Harry on this exhibition, we can tell you that he is a truly lovely man and superb to spend time with. Harry is an experience not to be missed in himself.
