As usual an afterthought. It would appear that the MPs want a four day week. Yet I constantly hear of MPs asking Sir George Young to allot time to discuss their own propositions. I REMEMBER a time when Parliament was OPEN 24/7 and members were allowed to smoke in the House. I also remember the all night sittings. Perhaps Parliament has been been “watered down” by both Parties by agreement to allow them the CUSHY life. For MYSELF alone, I WISH that I could do a TIME STUDY on our PARLIAMENTARIANS. Lets check out their attendance. My Time Study on them would give them the lowest rate of pay for their individual OUTPUT. I know that many people NOW do not know of TIME STUDY, but people FLOGGED themselves (healthwise) in factories doing piecework to get an extra TEN SHILLINGS. If by their efforts their machine broke down the TEN BOB was withheld. ENOUGH.
