We came, we saw…. and now we’re conked out! But the exhibition finally made its way to The House of Lords this week, and on Monday evening, the first ever photographic exhibition of its kind at the Lords took place in The River Room and we’ve got all sorts of goodies to share with you.
In Dad’s Shoes is a photographic exhibition of single fathers and their kids, focusing on parental love and the sentiment that love itself is not gender specific and that sometimes fathers need support, too. DadsHouse, the organisation which inspired the tour, offers help for dads in the way they want to access it – no muss, no fuss, just friendly advice and lots of fun activities for dads and their kids to do together and mums are invited too!
DadsHouse and Researching Reform would like to thank our sponsors, for making the event possible, our guests for attending and making the event a real event and our speakers for taking time out of their hectic schedules and sharing their experience with us all.
But the most special thank you of all, goes to the children who came to the event. All gorgeously behaved and kitted out in the cutest clothes, they sat patiently listening to the speakers and there wasn’t one temper tantrum in sight. The little guys and girls that came to this event are also pioneers – they are the first children of our time, to enter The House of Lords as guests.
