Forcing fathers/sperm donors to have their names on birth cert bonds?
What is that going to do? It is just a name.
Trying to force fathers to parent is a waste of time and energy.
Forcing them to parent is damaging for the child and the mother…because there is nothing as destructive as forcing someone to do something if their HEART is not in it….as my Dad used to remind us.
The family court tried to force my X to co parent and it was detrimental to all of us.
He said he was forced to PRETEND to co parent to look good for the Judge by his solicitor.
I cannot help feeling this morning- Is this all about keeping up appearances re fathers in a patriarchal society?
I had the best father in the Universe,so when my X turned when our son was born, it was a massive shock to me. Then he pipes up and announces he never wanted girls. The forced parenting was a disaster with children becoming suicidal.
He even had the audacity to remind me that he only played along with the family court game, so I could never escape him, because his solicitor had told him how the law is always on the father’s side.”
I learned over the years from other solicitors and family law professionals that this is a fact. A mother is never good enough, but the father is always good enough- be he a druggie, batterer, pedophile, etc and we know of such cases where these fathers were forced to have full custody,
Is it all to keep up appearances that all fathers are good and all mothers not?
Those in their right minds know there are good and bad in fathers and mothers.
