Many thanks to the lady who alerted us to this quite fascinating event on children in care and youth offending, taking place in Sheffield on Tuesday the 10th July this year.
The conference is being hosted by Bank House Chambers, and will be reviewing research findings and policy recommendations stemming from a 2 year lottery funded research project undertaken by the Centre of Research of the Child and Family at the University of East Anglia, in partnership with TACT.
Speakers for the afternoon include:
- Gillian Schofield, Professor of Child and Family Social Work, Co-Director of the Centre for Research on the Child and Family, University of East Anglia;
This is an open event, which Chambers feel would be of interest to family and criminal solicitors, barristers, judges, magistrates, social workers and other professionals involved in care and youth offending services, residential care workers, fostering agencies, independent reviewing officers, CAFCASS, CAMHS, police and CPS, as well as other professionals and people with an interest in this area. It will take place at the Mercure St Paul’s Hotel in Sheffield from 1.30pm-5pm and the cost per person is £25, which includes lunch.
