The Law Society has just published guidelines in the form of a practice note for lawyers who will be working alongside Litigants in Person and McKenzie Friends, or LIPS as we affectionately like to call them, because their voices represent a new dawn for family law.
The practice note itself, is more like a practice tome, but we think it’s a good set of guidelines, even if slightly guarded and still not quite understanding of the culture surrounding LIPS. The section on vexatious litigants in person is a little uptight….
But, more importantly, what do you think about the new guidelines? 🙂
