Thank you to Miss A for alerting us to this follow-on story about Dr Hibbert. In this Daily Mail article published this morning, we are given more information about whistleblowers, some testifying at Dr Hibbert’s GMC hearing and others, professional colleagues now talking for the first time about what they perceived to be poor practice. This lot really could have come forward sooner, but hey, better late than never, although that won’t be much consolation to the mothers who may have had their children wrongfully taken from them and who will never get them back.
The article tells us a little more about Dr Hibbert’s family, possible motivations for his shocking behaviour and details of what he was like as a man. We will leave you to read the article, which offers fascinating insight into a man perhaps plagued with complexes and the many critics now speaking out about Dr Hibbert’s medical practice.
“antiquated views about the role of women.”
No surprise then that he acted as he did.

Wow! Certainly an interesting article in The Daily Mail. There is a lot of “hearsay” and unattributed information, but if only half of it is true, it still speaks to encouraging people to speak out earlier when the well-being of children and families are involved.

Once again, I am reminded of Roy Meadow and of what others, including his wife, said about him. Hibbert appears to have a need to punish women.
