Welcome to the next Westminster Debate, “Supporting Families after the Riots and the Role of Family Law“. Family Law in Partnership LLP is co-hosting this open event in the House of Commons with Researching Reform on the evening of Monday 12th December, 2011, which will look at the implications of the riots on children and parents across the country and what the family justice system can do to support our families in meaningful ways.
Our panel members for the evening are: Sue Atkins, the BBC’s parenting expert; District Judge Nicholas Crichton; Elaine Halligan, Director of the Parent Practice; David Allison, Partner at Family Law in Partnership LLP and chairing the event, John Cryer MP.
We have a dedicated website for the event, which is constantly being updated and aims to keep you in the loop, every step of the way. Currently available to view are the following:
Members of the public and organisations are very welcome. If you would like to attend, please leave your name and contact details at the bottom of this post and we’ll send you an invitation or alternatively email us with your details at Sobk13@gmail.com.
We very much hope you will be able to join us in what hopes to be an interesting and lively debate on the changing landscape of family law as it works towards a more caring and compassionate approach to family matters. Dear Mam,
I will not be attending this meeting. I am sorry that I shall not be able to shake your and another lady’s hand. The reason is that I attended a meeting at the Inner Temple. If only the DEVIL had cast his net only two people would have walked away. There is a new head for Families. From his speech NOTHING will change.
I did ask a question and am STILL trying to find the courage to send him the FACTS of my case. I see all the posts here and on Facebook and other sites. NOTHING HAPPENS. People in POWER do not listen.
